Sean Masters was born in San Antonio TX to a military family. He grew up in Coeur d’ Alene ID and had the military values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage instilled in him at a very young age. His whole childhood he aspired to serve in the United States Army and at the age of 17 he began his military journey. While serving in the national guard for 2 years he also worked in foundation and flatwork concrete on high end homes. Holding paint brush at the age of three he helped in the family business of renovating homes, so having a career in construction was a natural path.
It was during this time his passion for the military and the desire to serve grew and he enlisted in active duty. Him and his family packed up and began a new journey in El Paso TX. When arriving in El Paso he was told he would be rapidly deployed to South Korea to aid and support in a military show of force. For 9 months he was fully immersed in the Korean culture while also surrounding himself with people from all walks of life serving together in the army.
Sean’s military experience helped him understand people and understand how to communicate with people of all diversities. He learned that there’s not one way to communicate and lead, that you must walk a mile in their shoes to understand that specific persons needs. The pressures of being in a military hazard zone helped him form a tight nit bond with his colleges and inspired him to become a leader and further serve. He excelled in his leadership position by always looking after his soldiers with guidance and knowledge on how to not only be successful in the military but also be successful in life.
For the following 4 years he continued to serve in a leadership position and started another chapter at Schofield barracks in Oahu HI. Here, he continued to diversify himself by building relationships with people from Hawaii, Brunei, and Malaysia. As he is currently transitioning out of the military his desire to serve remained as a core belief. Growing up in a big family he understood that home isn’t just four walls but a place that holds all the memories and experiences. Therefore he has a desire to serve his community by helping them find their forever homes. He chose to work at Harosky Homes because their values aligned with his. He then came to an end on his military career after 4 years in Hawaii.
